Poki for Developers platform
Poki for Developers is where all the information regarding your developer team and your games on Poki lives. You'll be able to make sure your team information is set up properly and upload, analyze, and update your specific games all in one place. Below this you will find an overview of the key aspects of P4D.
Team settings
Under this tab, you will find the general settings for your account.
- General: Add general information regarding your team, primary contact details, and your country of residence. This information will be used should your game pass all the testing stages.
- Users: If you work on your games with multiple people, you can add multiple users to your Poki for Developers team account, allowing you to access dashboards and game entries together. Clicking Create User opens a menu where you can enter the name, contact information, and role. There are two roles to choose from:
- Developer - Access to all facets of Poki for Developers.
- Developer Support - Identical access to Developer, except restricted access to earnings and monetization metrics after a game’s release.
- Billing: If your game passes the testing stages and is released on Poki, you'll be able to add and review your billing information here.
Your games
While your game moves through the five testing stages, its progress lives here. After release, this is also where you'll find gameplays, earnings, engagement, and monetization data.
- Versions: Here you can find the different versions you’ve uploaded for your game. Use the “Upload New Version” button to upload additional versions. Under the Actions tab, you can open your game in the Inspector tool or preview it in Preview mode, which shows the game as it will appear live on Poki — useful for checking it works correctly in a live environment.
- Playtests: Here you can review and request more playtest recordings for your game. More details on the playtesting process can be found here.
- Settings: Review and change more granular details about your game. For example, the title and the suggested categories and description for your game can be added here.
- Suggested categories & description: Here you can pick up to four categories that describe your game. When setting up your game on Poki, we take your suggested categories into account. We also apply our own knowledge of Poki’s categories to help find the best-suited audience for your game. That means that sometimes games are placed in other or additional categories than the ones suggested.
- Similarly, we welcome your input on the description of your game! Tell us a bit about the main game mechanic and what makes your game stand out. We'll use this as input while making sure your game has a search engine optimized description that is consistent with other game descriptions on Poki.
- Thumbnails: Here you can upload and update your game's thumbnail. Once a game is live on Poki, all thumbnail updates will need to be reviewed by our team. Simply drag the file for your new thumbnail onto the screen to upload. You can then submit the request, which will be reviewed as soon as possible.
